The course is playing very different from yesterday. It's playing much faster. The greens are starting to firm up.

I asked the scorer what the protocol was for withdrawing, ... I didn't want to get in trouble with the USGA if I bailed out. But it didn't feel right not playing. I feel like every round is an opportunity to learn something.

By Sunday, it will be raucous like it is every year.

I had good opportunities most of the (front) nine and managed to get under par early, caught a groove for the day and managed to hang on to it.

If you're playing great, you start thinking about what could happen and your game could fall apart, ... And if you're not playing well, you think about what could happen and it could fall apart. Everyone wants to know how you feel. Everyone wants to hug you if you mess up or do well. Guys are pulling for you, some are pulling against you.

I'm cool with it. Whatever happens, happens. I'm just trying to have some fun with it because for the last four years it hasn't been a lot of fun.

I'm used to the bubble, man, but it's still a bubble, ... It's a nice problem to have. I hope to calm down and come back to work for San Antonio, Greensboro, Vegas, Disney and Tampa to see where I stand. Regardless, this is my best year. Whatever happens from here, I'm tickled.
